About Us

The Callayomi County Water District (CCWD) serves the unincorporated town of Middletown in Lake County, California. Initial facilities were built in 1971. The District was formed in 1977 and includes the former Middletown County Water District and Middletown County Waterworks District No. 5. Service was extended to the Middletown Rancheria and a second storage tank added in 1984. Our previous facilities and treatment plant were built in 1989, and were destroyed by the Valley Fire in September 2015. Our new office and treatment plant were completed in March of 2020. Presently, the District serves about 450 active meters.

At Callayomi County Water District, our goal is to provide safe, clean, water to all of our residents. We invite you to attend our Public Board Meetings held on the Third Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in our office located at 21282 Stewart St Middletown, CA 95461.
